George H, of New England Bay in Coventry, RI has accomplished many things in his 89 years. He has been a soldier, a loving husband, a volunteer, an outdoorsman, and now he can add being a part of the studio audience of his favorite show, Wheel of Fortune.
George has been a devoted fan and faithful watcher of the game show for almost 30 years. He and his late wife enjoyed watching the show together, always contributing answers from the comfort of their home. He loved being able to experience the show first hand, and meet the hosts he has watched for so long, especially, the beautiful Vanna White.
George has done his fair share in giving back to the community. After serving in WWII with the Army, he spent a few years working in the Institute of Mental Health, and then went on to be a conservation officer for 25 years. He also volunteered for the fire department in Anthony Section of Coventry for 30 years. Since moving into New England Bay, he has continued to stay active and readily volunteers his time within the community.
Wish of a Lifetime and Brookdale Senior Living worked together with the wonderful staff at Wheel of Fortune to send George to Las Angeles, CA on July 11, 2012 to see a live taping of his favorite show. They put his name up on the board, he got to meet Pat Sajak and Vanna White, and he even got to spin the Wheel! Visit George’s gallery to see more photos.
